Homemade muesli with seeds and nuts (1.5 kg)
gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, sugar-free

Ingredients:

  • 700g whole grain oatmeal
  • 300g of apple puree
  • 250g of peanuts
  • 150g walnuts
  • 100g of coconut flakes
  • 100g of dried cranberries
  • 100g of dried bananas
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Cover a large (if possible with high sides) baking sheet
with baking paper. Pour the oatmeal, chopped nuts and cinnamon on the plate (add the dried fruits after the muesli has been in the oven and cooled down a bit). Mix everything together and then add the applesauce. Mix the muesli well with your hands and pour it on the baking sheet. Make sure that there are no big lumps in the muesli

Bake for 15 minutes, then mix everything together. Again make sure that there are no big lumps in the muesli.

From now on, stir the muesli after every 10 minutes until the muesli is crispy and fully cooked.

If you don’t cook the muesli completely, the raw pieces will become very hard. Store muesli in a glass jar.

PS! If you don’t have ready-made applesauce, maybe there is a pumpkin puree in the freezer. If you don’t have that either, peel and boil 3 large apples or 3 large carrots, puree and mix with muesli.
