Healthy Junk Food (for 5)
gluten-free

Bean Steak:

  • 2 cans of black beans
  • 5 tablespoons of chia seeds +1.5 dl of water
  • 3 grated garlic cloves
  • 2 finely chopped red onions
  • 70 g BBQ sauce (gluten-free)
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce (gluten-free)
  • Freshly squeezed juice of half a lime
  • 1 tbsp Tabasco
  • 3 tbsp gluten-free flour
  • Himalayan salt/pepper

Burger:

  • Bean patties
  • 5 slices of light cheese
  • 5 gluten-free burger buns
  • Leaf lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Cucumber
  • Sliced ​​red onion
  • Ketchup (or other healthier sauce of your choice)

Preparation:

Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Put the chia seeds in a bowl with water, mix well and leave to swell.

Rinse the beans under cold running water so that the water stops foaming. Puree the rinsed beans with a hand blender. Add grated garlic, chopped onion, chia seeds, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, freshly squeezed lime juice, tabasco, salt, pepper and flour to the bean puree. Mix the mass well. Form 5 large patties between your hands and place on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.

Roast or grill burger buns. Melt the cheese on the bean steak either in the oven or on the grill.

Now make the burger. Spread the buns with your favorite sauce, place the patty with cheese on the bun, add ketchup. Place lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion and top bread on top.
